	Greetings! Blessings of the Liturgical Season to you from all of us in the Missions Office! It gives me joy to greet you all who have been very faithful and generous to the support of Mission and our missionaries around the world going about making Jesus present to all ends of the earth! There have been terrible calamities happening in our world lately. What is the role of the local mission office (HCA & POF) in response to catastrophic disasters be it earthquakes, floods, fires etc.? Does the local office have the right to promote such fund raising and directly send such funds whether it be for a specific disaster relief or for some ongoing identified needs? In our Office & throughout the Diocese we directed all interested parties for Haitian relief to CRS in accordance with our Diocesan instructions and supported as well by the PMS Bulletin sent out from the New York National Office.

	Thank you all for helping missionaries through the Holy Childhood Association. I encourage each one to participate and get involved in helping the less fortunate: "the poorest children of the world." I am grateful for the hospitality of the schools and parishes that I have visited the past two years.
